MUNICIPALITY AND PRODUCTION AREA
The hamlet of Poggiolo di Montù Beccaria, in the Oltrepò Pavese area in Lombardy (Italy)

LOCATION AND EXPOSURE OF THE VINEYARDS
At the winery, the “Costera” vineyard, with a total surface area of about 1 hectare, facing southeast; the “Brèga” vineyard, with a total surface area of about 0.5 hectare, facing southeast.

PLANTING DENSITY AND VINE TRAINING SYSTEM
Casarsa and Guyot, with an average planting density of
about 4.000 vines/hectare.

GRAPE BLEND AND HARVEST PERIOD
100% Pinot Nero.
Traditional harvest by hand during the last ten days of August.

VINIFICATION AND BOTTLING
Pressing and destemming of the grapes, brief contact of the must with the red
grapeskins, devatting and cooling of the liquid obtained. Subsequent fermentation on the selected yeasts in temperaturecontrolled steel vats, maturation and
ageing of the wine obtained on its own yeasts. Bottling starts in the January
following the harvest.

SENSORY TEST AND TECHNICAL NOTES
It is a slightly lively wine with an intense bright pink colour, a fine fruity fragrance and a fresh elegant flavour.
Alcohol content: 11,50/12% by vol
Acidity: 6.00-6.50 g/l

FOOD PAIRINGS
A wine for any course, it goes well with fish and white meat pasta, rice dishes
and main courses as an alternative to white wines. Also ideal as an aperitif.
Serving temperature: 10-12°C
